results, and a race recap will be available soon. Check back for
updates.
April 28, 2005: Test Session
Cancelled.
Thursdays scheduled test session was
cancelled due to variable weather conditions. Rain fell frequently,
and the track was not dry enough to allow for any useful data acquisition in
chassis TJ01. Also, the test session scheduled for Tuesday May 3rd has
now been confirmed.
April 25, 2005: Additional
Pre-Season Tests Scheduled.
TJ Motorsport will be testing on
Thursday April 28th at the Thomson Park Circuit in preparation for the
re-scheduled PLRC practice race on Sunday May 8th. Two other test
sessions have also been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday May 3rd at Thomson
Park Circuit and Saturday May 7th at the Advance Hobbies Raceway, a new
facility opening in May. As always, we will post results from each
testing session online after each days running is complete.
April 23, 2005: PLRC Practice
Race Postponed.
PLRC Racing officially announced today
that the practice race scheduled for April 24th has been postponed due to a
high possibility of inclement weather. The shakedown test scheduled in
advance for tomorrows race was also a victim of heavy rain in the
area.
Quote from PLRC Racing website:
"The current weather forecast
is forcing PLRC to cancel the first race of the season. The next race will
take place on May 8, 2005. This race will be a practice race, with the first
points race being on May 22, 2005."
TJ Motorsport will announce in the next
couple of days what their plans will include now that there is an additional
two weeks to prepare for the first race. A number of test days will
likely be announced.

Day 2 & Exhibition Race Results
Day two of testing was cut short due to
heavy rain at the Thomson Park
Circuit. The team had completed a
couple of instillation laps to prepare for the days testing agenda, but were
forced to park the car due to the conditions. The exhibition race was
also cancelled due to the weather. No word yet on whether the
race will be rescheduled.
April 19, 2005: Test Session Results
Day 1
The first of two days of testing at the
Thomson Park
Circuit wrapped up at noon eastern time after a productive morning session.
Driver Thomas Gordaneer logged 85 laps in chassis TJ01 around the 0.0975km
circuit, posting a best time of 17.73 seconds. The focus of the test
was chassis development, including evaluating spring set-ups and finding a
strong base set-up with which to work. Engine performance was also
evaluated, with the focus on reliability and response. The session ran
without any incident or major delay.
Driver and Crew
Chief: Thomas Gordaneer
"We made a lot of progress today
with the car. We were testing a softer compound tire and were
immediately able to get comfortable with the handling, despite a rather
slippery track. We were also pleased with the spring set-up that we
tested today, and look forward to an equally productive session
tomorrow."
The team will now look towards their
testing program tomorrow, as well as their exhibition race against RL
Racing.
April 18, 2005: Test Session
TJ Motorsport announced today that they
will be testing chassis TJ01 on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Thomson Park
Circuit in
preparation for the PLRC practice race this Sunday. The team will
focus on chassis set up and logging laps in order to get an accurate
estimate of the performance of the car and the engine. Results of the
test will be posted after the days program is complete.
April 18, 2005: Exhibition Race
The team announced today that they will
be competing in an exhibition race prior to their planned test session
Wednesday afternoon. The competition will be held at the Centennial
Speedway against their arch rivals RL Racing. The tentative schedule
is for a 20 lap race to be run around the 0.075km oval located in the parking
lot. We will have updates after the race.

noon eastern time. The site will bring you the latest news updates,
